The Polish Language and Cultural Centre in Nottingham

On the initiative of parents, a Polish school was established in Nottingham on 19 January 1951. Its aim is to preserve Polish identity among the younger generation by teaching the Polish language and introducing children and young people to the rich traditions and culture of Poland.

Our ambitious, passionate and dedicated team is committed to maintaining the highest standards of teaching and supporting the well-rounded development of every student. An individual approach and a warm, family atmosphere encourage students to participate enthusiastically in lessons and to work together through the Student Council, organising competitions, activities and events.

After lessons, students have the opportunity to develop their talents and interests by taking part in extracurricular clubs, sports activities and the Student Council, as well as through cooperation with the Polish Scouting movement.

We offer support from speech and language therapists, as well as training and guidance on raising bilingual children. We organise assemblies celebrating Polish national values and traditions, carnival parties for children, discos for young people, school trips, competitions, educational workshops and many other events. These activities bring our community together around the values that are important to us all, while giving students opportunities to form strong and lasting friendships.
